Meet Our Educators

Sara Harvey

As the Chopra Center’s chief operating officer, Sara is a dynamic, empowering leader who works directly with co-founder Dr. Deepak Chopra and the leadership team to fulfill the Center’s mission to serve as the global source for balance, healing, transformation, and the expansion of awareness. Before coming to the Chopra Center, Sara held a variety of leadership and director-level positions at American Airlines’ food and beverage, vacation packaging, and customer loyalty divisions.

Dr. Sheila Patel

Dr. Patel is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and Medical Director of the Chopra Center for Wellbeing. Dr. Patel's special interests include preventive medicine and mind-body medicine, with an emphasis on Ayurveda. She is a featured speaker at the Chopra Center’s Journey into Healing conference and is a regular contributor to the Chopra Center’s popular Healing Wisdom blog and Chopra Center radio show. Her articles have also been published in several integrative magazines and journals.

Dr. Tim Brieske

Dr. Brieske is a board-certified Family Medicine physician and expert in mind-body medicine. In addition to serving as a medical consultant, educator, and workshop leader at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing, he practices emergency and hospitalist medicine. Dr. Brieske also writes for the Chopra Center’s Healing Wisdom blog, participates in radio shows as a guest expert on integrative medicine, and co-leads Healing the Heart, Chopra Center’s three-day emotional healing retreat.

Dr. Valencia Porter

Dr. Porter is an expert in mind-body medicine with board certifications in both General Preventive Medicine and Integrative Holistic Medicine. Beyond allopathic medicine, Dr. Porter has received extensive additional training in many complementary healing modalities including Ayurveda, medical acupuncture, meditation, yoga, and herbal and nutritional supplements, which she combines in her medical practice at the Chopra Center

davidji

Davidji is a gifted teacher who has inspired countless individuals to discover and share their own unique gifts and talents with the world. Before coming to the Chopra Center to apprentice with Drs. Deepak Chopra and David Simon, he spent almost twenty-five years working in corporate America as a management consultant, entrepreneur, author and business advisor.

Dr. Robert Gonzalez

Robert is a nationally-recognized chiropractor, as well as a Chopra Center certified instructor of meditation and Ayurvedic lifestyle. As a practitioner, he combines his expertise in chiropractic and Ayurveda to help people achieve balance, health and wellbeing.

Edie Flaiz

Edie is a Chopra Center educator, assisting Chopra Center guests on their journey to balance using ancient, timeless techniques. She is passionate about guiding guests toward the experiences of peace of mind, increased energy, conscious choice making, increased productivity and joy in their lives.

Brent Cesare

Brent Cesare is a Lead Educator at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing, where he teaches weekly classes and also lectures regularly at the Center’s Yoga Teacher Trainings on Anatomy and Physiology .In addition to his work at the Center, Brent is also a Doctor of Physical Therapy. He is owner and director of Zenergy Physical Therapy, a healing studio integrates many mind-body techniques such as yoga therapy, meditation, and Ayurveda bodywork.

Monica Graves

Monica serves as Program Manager for the Chopra Center’s Workplace Wellbeing department. With a background in marketing and management, and many years of insight into "life in the corporate world," she has a sincere passion for introducing mindfulness and wellbeing in the workplace. She builds upon her experience marketing for diverse industries to develop custom wellness solutions for corporate clients.

Micole Noble

Micole Noble is a Chopra Center Master Educator. In addition to teaching at Chopra Center programs and events, she serves as the Chopra Center’s Workplace Wellbeing Event Coordinator and has served as a meditation guide for the Chopra Center’s popular 21-Day Meditation Challenge™. Micole had a strong foundation in the corporate world. Before coming to the Chopra Center she worked for more than fifteen years as a corporate recruiter for law firms, as well as high-tech and biotechnology companies.

Christie Lees, R.N.

Christie began her career as an international registered nurse in top-ranked hospitals and clinics in the field of oncology, facilitating healing with her bright energy and compassionate care. A dynamic speaker and educator, she has lectured to countless professional groups and Fortune 500 companies. She is experienced guiding people of all walks of life, such as executives, homemakers and Olympic athletes.

Kali Love

Kali serves as a lead instructor at the Chopra Center’s weekly classes and teacher training certifications. She has played a key role in the development and coordination of the Workplace Wellbeing Programs, which bring the Chopra Center’s powerful principles and practices to the workplace.  Before coming to the Chopra Center, Kali’s professional background included positions in corporate admin and sales.

Amanda Ringnalda

As the Chopra Center’s Director of Operations and Events, Amanda develops educational programs and facilitates daily operations. For more than a decade, she has dedicated herself to a lifestyle of meditation, yoga and wellbeing. Before coming to the Chopra Center, Amanda spent many years in the corporate world, working for ad agencies, software developers, political lobbyists, and others.

Gordon McGregor

Gordon arrived at the Chopra Center after several years of serving as a Certified Corporate Trainer for Fred Pryor, a division of PARK University Enterprises. His energetic style and personality delivers results and changes in the people he trains. Gordon specializes in relationship- and personality-based trainings.

Janis Steiner

Janis is a Senior Events Manager at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing. For more than fourteen years, she has planned special events and seminars for various corporate groups and associations. She guides group meditations and teaches yoga classes weekly at the Chopra Center, passionately sharing timeless practices to reduce stress, restore balance, and experience authentic success.

Gabrielle Forleo

Gabrielle is a featured yoga teacher at the Chopra Center, and she passionately shares that the Seven Spiritual Laws of Yoga is one of the best paths to help people fully embrace the true essence of yoga: the union of mind, body, spirit. Her classes are known for their energetic and powerful pace, and are adaptable to meet any skill level.

Rachelle Williams

Rachelle has been with the Chopra Center for Wellbeing since 2007 and currently serves as manager of the Medical Department, working primarily with the Chopra Center’s signature Perfect Health program. Rachelle graduated from Stanford University and has followed a career path that nurtured her love of guiding people towards achieving greater health and wellness.
