In Honor of David Simon

This special issue of the Chopra Center Newsletter is dedicated to our co-founder, friend, and teacher, Dr. David Simon, who passed away on January 31. We offer our deepest gratitude to David for sharing his gentle spirit, penetrating wisdom, heart-lifting encouragement, lightness, and humor.

David’s work and presence have transformed the lives of so many people throughout the world, and we at the Chopra Center have been deeply touched by the stories, blessings, and loving messages that everyone has shared on his Memorial Site.

With this edition of the newsletter, we would like to share some of David’s greatest contributions to mind-body medicine and the expansion of love, happiness, and peace on the planet. While it’s not possible to describe all the countless ways in which he served and lived out the fulfillment of his dharma and purpose in life, we hope to convey the essence of his contributions and inspiration.

We know that through his books, teachings, and the continuing legacy of the Chopra Center, David’s gifts will continue to ripple out into the universe for years to come.
