Healing the Heart
October 12–14, 2012 La Costa Resort & Spa • Carlsbad, California
If you want to break free from the past and experience emotional freedom, we invite you to join us at the Healing the Heart workshop.
Emotional pain takes many forms: the grief of loss, overwhelming stress and anxiety, depression, job burnout, feeling stuck, heart break, regret, the inability to trust, anger, and worry about the future. In the face of difficulty, most of us do our best to cope with the situation, hold it together, and keep going, but we often end up carrying emotional pain that we don’t know how to heal or release.
In our safe, nurturing setting, you will be guided in the unique five-step healing process developed by Chopra Center co-founder Dr. David Simon that has helped thousands let go of their pain, find freedom from the past, and rediscover joy and fulfillment.

What happens at Healing the Heart?
At the Healing the Heart weekend workshop, Dr. Tim Brieske, Trista Thorp, and other loving members of the Chopra Center will guide you in a unique, proven five-step process to identify, mobilize, and release the painful memories and life-damaging beliefs that are at the root of many emotional problems.
This unique process includes guided visualizations, journal writing, music and sound therapy, and exercises in conscious movement and body-centered awareness. If this is your first Chopra Center experience, you will also receive instruction in Primordial Sound Meditation, a powerful, easy-to-learn meditation practice that provides immediate benefits.
Each day you also have the opportunity to nourish yourself with morning and evening group meditations, heart-opening yoga sessions, Ayurvedic meals, and time for personal reflection.
What are recent participants saying about their experience?
“I came to Healing the Heart to rid myself of emotional wounds and losses so that I may continue my journey in peace. I have been through so much in my life and everything was covered up with Band-Aids. I realized I needed to remove these Band-Aids one by one. With the tools I have learned at Healing the Heart I can now experience more enlightenment and healing.” – Linda P., Clairemont, CA
“My intention for attending Healing the Heart was to work through some painful experiences. I feel I have finally discovered that sacred beautiful place in my heart that is always available to me. It is a place I can go to receive self-compassion and love and that I can start meeting my own needs.” – Shari A., Lyndonville, VT
Important Note: Healing the Heart is not an alternative to counseling and/or the therapist that you may already be working with. This is a group healing experience that will involve sharing with other participants. Please be aware that if you have active suicidal intent, homicidal intent or a diagnosis of unstable mental health, this course is not recommended for you.
Enrollment closed Wednesday, Oct 10.
