Balancing the Body is a powerful mind-body healing immersion designed exclusively for those who have completed the Healing the Heart workshop. Balancing the Body is a six-day mind-body healing immersion dedicated to nurturing your emotional well-being and physical health. In the Chopra Center's compassionate environment, you will experience daily Ayurvedic massage treatments and therapies, receive an individual integrative medical consultation with a Chopra Center physician (M.D.), and attend sessions led by our team of master certified educators.

What happens at Healing the Heart?
At the Healing the Heart weekend workshop, Dr. Tim Brieske, Trista Thorp, and other loving members of the Chopra Center staff will guide you in a unique, proven five-step process to identify, mobilize, and release the painful memories and life-damaging beliefs that are at the root of many emotional and physical health problems.
The Healing the Heart process includes guided visualizations, journal writing, music and sound therapy, and exercises in conscious movement and body-centered awareness. If this is your first Chopra Center experience, you will also receive instruction in Primordial Sound Meditation, an ancient, easy-to-learn meditation practice that provides many tangible healing benefits.
Each day you also have the opportunity to nourish yourself with morning and evening group meditations, heart-opening yoga sessions, optional Ayurvedic meals, and time for personal reflection and integration. Tim Brieske, M.D.
As the Chopra Center’s Medical Director, Dr. Tim Brieske combines his experience as a board-certified family physician with his deep understanding of the foundation and practice of Ayurveda and other Eastern healing traditions. With his characteristic compassion, deep listening skills, and lighthearted nature, he creates a safe, nurturing environment for guests and patients to balance, heal, and transform.

Trista Thorp
For the past four years, Trista Thorp has apprenticed under Dr. David Simon, co-facilitating the Healing the Heart workshop at the Chopra Center for Wellbeing. Throughout this period, Trista has developed a heartfelt connection to the five-step emotional healing process created by Dr. Simon, and has lovingly guided hundreds of people through their journey of personal transformation.

Graduates of our Emotional Freedom program and Free to Love workshop are eligible to attend Balancing the Body.
